Welcome to Alpha Center for Theology and Science, an academic institution under the patronage of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church and run by the Archeparchy of Tellicherry. Rooted in the rich tradition of the Church, the Center is dedicated to providing quality theological education that fosters intellectual excellence, spiritual formation, and pastoral commitment. Through flexible and accessible learning programmes, students from diverse backgrounds are equipped to deepen their understanding of Sacred Scripture, Theology, Philosophy, and related disciplines. To empower the faithful through sound biblical, theological, and moral formation, fostering lay leadership and ministry for the mission of the Church while promoting faith, wisdom, and selfless service in a spirit of ecumenical and interreligious dialogue.

Our Mission

To provide quality theological education and research rooted in the Catholic tradition, equipping priests, religious, and laity for evangelization, pastoral ministry, catechesis, and leadership. The Institute is committed to integrating faith and culture, promoting ecumenism and interreligious dialogue, strengthening the local Church, and preparing students to serve society with academic excellence, spiritual maturity, and Christian values.

Purpose

The Alpha Center for Theology and Science exists to provide sound theological formation that deepens the faith, knowledge, and spiritual life of the faithful. It equips lay people, religious, and pastoral workers with the biblical, theological, and pastoral foundations necessary for evangelization, catechesis, and effective ministry in the Church. Through quality education and research, the Institute seeks to prepare Christian leaders who can faithfully serve the Church and society in today's multicultural world.
